Aeroponics Towers

Welcome to our Ponics Lab page! Our first post will be in regards to our Aeroponics Towers. Aeroponics is an advanced form of hydroponics and is the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment rather than soil. Aeroponics systems use water, liquid nutrients and a soilless growing medium to quickly and efficiently grow incredibly nutritious produce!

In the 2022/23 school year, we have experimented with green beans, peas, floral varieties, and lettuce varieties in our towers. We have found that all produce seems to do well in this nutrient-rich environment and that they appear greener or more vibrant than varieties of produce grown in soil.

Mrs. Frazier brings classes into the Ponics Lab to learn about the upkeep of the technology in the Lab, track plant growth, teach about the life cycles of plants, teach about pollination, and incorporate students into the harvesting process.
